Oral skills assessments:
Your personal academic coach will arrange a convenient time for you and the tutor for you to take each of the mock assessments.
- Oral (Advocacy): The advocacy assessment is hosted live with a tutor through a video call in timed exam conditions. You will be provided with verbal feedback immediately following your submissions, commenting on your performance and methods to improve where required. You will be able to ask the tutor any follow up questions about your performance. Following the attempt you will be provided with feedback with indicative scores against the SQE2 marking criteria.
- Oral (Client interview and attendance note / legal analysis): The client interview aspect of the assessment is hosted live with a tutor through a video call in timed exam conditions. Following the interview you will complete your attendance note/legal analysis and submit through our virtual learning environment. Following the attempt you will be provided with written feedback with indicative scores against the SQE2 marking criteria. You will also be given the option to book a further session with the tutor to receive verbal feedback on your client interview skills and methods to improve where required. You will also be able to ask the tutor any follow up questions about your performance.
Written assessments:
The written skills mock assessments are contained within our virtual learning environment. The assessments are taken in timed conditions which you can start at any time. Following the attempt, you will be provided with written feedback with indicative scores against the SQE2 marking criteria.
You can take your mock assessments at any point across the exam sitting window (subject to availability). Your access to the mock assessments will end following the last exam sitting date in the relevant exam sitting window.
