You will complete 4 oral mock assessments focused on the oral skills in each of the potential contexts.

On demand induction presentation providing an overview of the course, resources and support. Followed by a 1-2-1 call with your personal academic coach to answer any queries you may have on the process and offer support (optional).

Oral skills assessments:

Your personal academic coach will arrange a convenient time for you and the tutor for you to take each of the mock assessments.

• Oral (Advocacy): The advocacy assessment is hosted live with a tutor through a video call in timed exam conditions. You will be provided with verbal feedback immediately following your submissions, commenting on your performance and methods to improve where required. You will be able to ask the tutor any follow up questions about your performance. Following the attempt you will be provided with feedback with indicative scores against the SQE2 marking criteria.
• Oral (Client interview and attendance note / legal analysis): The client interview aspect of the assessment is hosted live with a tutor through a video call in timed exam conditions. Following the interview you will complete your attendance note/legal analysis and submit through our virtual learning environment. Following the attempt you will be provided with written feedback with indicative scores against the SQE2 marking criteria. You will also be given the option to book a further session with the tutor to receive verbal feedback on your client interview skills and methods to improve where required. You will also be able to ask the tutor any follow up questions about your performance.

Written assessments:

The written skills mock assessments are contained within our virtual learning environment. The assessments are taken in timed conditions which you can start at any time. Following the attempt, you will be provided with written feedback with indicative scores against the SQE2 marking criteria.

You can take your mock assessments at any point across the exam sitting window (subject to availability). Your access to the mock assessments will end following the last exam sitting date in the relevant exam sitting window.

Prepare for the SQE2 assessment day with:

• Assessment criteria focus: A familiarity with the assessment criteria for each assessment type is key to ensuring that you are prepared and are equipped to meet the expectations of the assessment and demonstrate the standard of competency required. A series of short lectures are provided, focusing on the feature and requirements of each.
• Assessment day preparation:  A summary of the assessment day for the SQE2 Oral and SQE2 Written assessments together for tips for approaching the assessment day and building on the experience.

You will have access to our exclusive SQE2 assessment support unit which will continue after your course expiry until the results of the SQE2 assessment are released. This contains:

• SQE2 Q&A Forum: A forum is provided to enable you to engage with others across our SQE2 course range taking the SQE2 assessment in the same exam sitting window.
• Student support: As a continued Law Training Centre learner our student services team will also be hand for any direct queries you wish to ask. We will also be available to answer your questions about your next steps following your results.

• Keyboard and a mouse or another pointing device
• Broadband connection with 10 Mbps average speed
• An Ethernet cable for maintaining internet stability
• Working microphone, either internal or external
• Webcam with 320 x 240 VGA resolution, either internal or external

Once received, your enrolment will be processed by our Student Services Team. If there are any queries at this stage, we will contact you.

• Invoicing:
  We will issue your invoice according to your chosen option – either self–sponsored or firm-sponsored. If you are paying by instalments, a separate Direct Debit mandate email will be sent out for you to complete online, you will need to set up both the Direct Debit and complete the initial payment. Once the invoice has been paid (or the Direct Debit set up if applicable) please notify us by return email.
• Payment options:
  You can pay by bank transfer to our account or by card using the payment link on your invoice. Cheques are accepted and your course login will be made live once the cheque has cleared into our bank account.
• Course Login:
  Once we have processed your payment and the 14-day cooling-off period has passed or has been waived, please allow up to 2 working days from the invoice being paid to being emailed your course login.
