Law Training Centre and STADIO Higher Education signed a partnership agreement to enable students and practising legal professionals in South Africa to qualify or dual-qualify as a solicitor of England and Wales through the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE). A dual qualification in England and Wales can improve a student’s employability, both with legal firms within the country that have international offices, and for students seeking opportunities to live and work in the UK. In addition to the qualification, Law Training Centre and STADIO Higher Education have partnered to deliver short legal courses via online training.

Access Law Clinic was founded on the principles of providing access to justice for those who cannot afford traditional legal fees and providing access to legal experience for those who cannot follow the traditional route to qualification as a lawyer.

Their vision is to create a legal system where financial means and a physical presence in an office are no longer a barrier to entry to education, access to services and acquiring qualifying work experience.  They aim to give students of law valuable pro bono work experience opportunities with practising solicitors by assisting those that may otherwise be unable to access critical legal advice and guidance, while at the same time approving qualifying work experience for SQE candidates who have faced barriers in getting this approved through former or current employers.
