CILEX Legacy Qualifications

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

As part of the introduction of the CILEX Professional Qualification (CPQ), Learners wishing to complete a Level 3 qualification must have registered as a CILEx Student Member by 31 May 2021. Learners enrolling on the Graduate Fast-Track Diploma must also register for CILEx membership by 31 October 2021.

However, if you do not have CILEx membership you can also register with CILEx as a non-member to sit exams (only applicable for Level 6), subject to exam fees.   • Study full time or part-time with our tutor-supported e-learning, leaving you free to work in legal practice and gain the necessary qualifying employment to becoming as a Chartered Legal Executive Lawyer and a CILEx Fellow.

CILEx Recommended Textbooks
The CILEx Recommended reading list contains a listing of the texts one needs to purchase to study the course successfully. Law Training Centre offer a discount for students who choose to purchase access to one or more law textbooks via the Law Trove collection. Law Trove contains approximately 200 online law textbooks, including those featured on CILEx’s recommended reading list across core and optional modules. Once purchased, learners receive 12 months digital access to these books. If hard copies are preferred, Law Training Centre offers 25% discount to our students.

All our courses are designed to fit around your existing commitments. They can be studied at your own pace and are delivered by our approachable team of law lecturers and practitioners with years of industry experience.

Professional and affordable CILEx courses with LTC
We offer CILEx tuition in two formats:

  • Online/distance study supported by tutors – learn anywhere including internationally, and at any time.
  • Classroom learning at our UK centre Near Canterbury, Kent.

Online learning (supported distance learning)

Start your course at any time, with 18 months of online access to all resources and unlimited tutor support.

Classroom learning

Classroom courses run twice a year (from September to January and February to June each). All learners also receive full access to the online learner area plus have weekly tutorials at the centre. These are on weekday evenings, usually Tuesday to Thursday each week. The classes take the form of a weekly tutorial per subject.

Over the summer break, we also run the Professional Skills units as classroom-based units. This means you complete your mandatory units before the September semester starts.

What will I need before I get started?

To study your online course, you will need the following:

  • Broadband connection with 10 Mbps average speed
  • An Ethernet cable for maintaining internet stablility
  • Working microphone, either internal or external
  • Webcam with 230 x 240 VGA resolution, either internal or external

The Law Training Centre accepts applications throughout the year so that learners can start when it suits them most.

You can request an enrolment form(ADD LINK) by completing our form. Once completed, you will receive the form directly to the email address you provide.

What happens after I end my enrolment form?
Your enrolment application form will be processed by our Student Services Team. If there are any queries at this stage, we will contact you.
Invoicing
Once your form has been processed, we will issue your invoice in accordance with the information you provide to us on your enrolment form.
If you (or your firm) are paying for your course in full, we can accept payment by bank transfer or credit/debit card.
If you (or your firm) are paying by instalments, you (or they) will need to do two things to complete your enrolment:
(1) set up a Direct Debit mandate, which will be emailed to you separately, and
(2) pay your initial invoice by bank transfer or card.
Your enrolment will not be complete until we have received payment and, if applicable, confirmation of set up of the Direct Debit mandate. Incomplete applications will expire after 30 days. Please ensure you (and your sponsor if relevant) agree to all of the Terms and Conditions (ADD LINK) on the last page before submitting your enrolment form.

Payment options
You can pay by bank transfer to our account or by credit/debit card using the payment link on your invoice. Please note that we cannot take payment over the phone.

Law Training Centre has a partnership with Lendwise to help you fund both your course fees as well as the cost of your exam/s. Lendwise is a student loan provider through which candidates can fund their postgraduate and professional qualification studies and exam fees.

A Lendwise loan comes with a fixed interest rate for the duration of the loan and no early repayment penalties. The minimum loan amount is £2,000, and the interest rate offered will depend on the overall applicant profile and the application process is entirely online.

Course login
Once we have processed your payment (and received confirmation that the Direct Debit mandate has been set up if you are paying by instalments) and the 14-day cooling-off period has passed or has been waived, you will receive access to your course login within two working days.
