Course options

Our SQE2 Just Mocks course is available in two different formats depending on the skills you wish to practice:

SQE2 Just Mocks – Oral Skills: These courses are designed for those who wish to practice their oral skills of advocacy and client interviewing through mock assessments across the four practice areas.

SQE2 Just Mocks – Practice Area: These courses provide access to the individual practice areas of your choosing to complete the relevant mock assessments for that area (combination of oral and written assessments as applicable).

For all mock assessments learners will receive comprehensive feedback to help them improve upon both their knowledge and technique ahead of their SQE2 assessments. To read what our learners have to say about this, please visit our blog.

This SQE2 Just Mocks course is only suitable for those learners who have a thorough understanding of the skills and relevant practice areas. The course does not contain tutor support or course materials to teach the functioning legal knowledge required.

Course features

For all mock assessments learners will receive comprehensive 1:1 tutor feedback to help them improve upon both their knowledge and technique ahead of their SQE2 assessments.

Oral mock assessments: Taken as a live assessment with a tutor specialist in the relevant practice area. This is a pre-arranged online appointment at a mutually convenient time, taking into account working patterns and other commitments wherever possible. After the live mock assessment has been completed immediate verbal feedback is provided followed by written feedback which includes specific reference to the skills required in accordance with the assessment criteria.
Written mock assessments: Available to view and attempt at any time through our interactive learner platform. Tutor specialist feedback is provided on the attempt with specific reference to the skills required in accordance with the assessment criteria.

The SQE2 Just Mocks: Oral Skills course is available in the following varieties:

SQE2 Just Mocks: Oral Skills 1

To enable you to practice your oral skills combined with the relevant practice area assessed, each course contains the following four mock assessments:

An advocacy mock assessment for the practice area Criminal Litigation
An advocacy mock assessment for the practice area Dispute Resolution
A client interview and attendance note/legal analysis mock assessment for the practice area Property Practice
A client interview and attendance note/legal analysis mock assessment for the practice area Wills and Intestacy, Probate Administration and Practice

SQE2 Just Mocks – Practice Area

The SQE2 Just Mocks: Practice Area course is available in the following varieties:

SQE2 Just Mocks: Criminal Litigation
SQE2 Just Mocks: Dispute Resolution
SQE2 Just Mocks: Property Practice
SQE2 Just Mocks: Wills and Intestacy, Probate Practice and Administration
SQE2 Just Mocks: Business organisations, rules and procedures.

Across the five practice areas there are six different legal skills that may be assessed at the SQE2. These are set out below:

Each course option provides you with a mock assessment for each skill (oral and written) to be assessed within that practice area as shown. Note as illustrated above the SQE2 Just Mocks: Business organisations, rules and procedures will only be assessed as a written skill on the SQE2 and so the course includes only written skills assessments and so does not include an oral skills assessment.

Course access

Learners who purchase SQE2 Just Mocks will receive 3 months course access as standard to complete both their written and oral mocks for each individual practice area purchased, providing ample time to utilise the mock materials and feedback provided.

If, upon completion of your mocks, you feel you require further support and the opportunity to brush up on your knowledge of a particular practice area, don’t fear! You are able to upgrade your course access to also receive relevant learning materials for that practice area for a small additional fee. Contact us today to discuss your options.

Scholarships

Law Training Centre accepts PayPal as a payment option. A link to PayPal will be provided on your invoice when you sign up for a course. PayPal is a secure card processor and allows you to use your debit or credit card to pay, you do not need to have a PayPal account to use this service.

Law Training Centre has a partnership with Lendwise to help you fund both your course fees as well as the cost of your exam/s. Lendwise is a student loan provider through which candidates can fund their postgraduate and professional qualification studies and exam fees.

A Lendwise loan comes with a fixed interest rate for the duration of the loan and no early repayment penalties. The minimum loan amount is £2,000, and the interest rate offered will depend on the overall applicant profile and the application process is entirely online.

What will I need before I get started?

To study your online course, you will need the following:

Minimum hardware requirements

Computer / laptop / Google Chromebook / Apple MacBook
Keyboard and a mouse or another pointing device
Broadband connection with 10 Mbps average speed
An Ethernet cable for maintaining internet stability
Working microphone, either internal or external
Webcam with 320 x 240 VGA resolution, either internal or external

How do I enrol?

The Law Training Centre accepts applications throughout the year so that learners can start when it suits them most.

You can complete our SQE2 enrolment form here.

What happens after I send my enrolment form?

Once received, your enrolment will be processed by our Student Services Team. If there are any queries at this stage, we will contact you.

Invoicing:
We will issue your invoice according to your chosen option – either self–sponsored or firm-sponsored. If you are paying by instalments, a separate Direct Debit mandate email will be sent out for you to complete online, you will need to set up both the Direct Debit and complete the initial payment. Once the invoice has been paid (or the Direct Debit set up if applicable) please notify us by return email.
Payment options:
You can pay by bank transfer to our account or by card using the payment link on your invoice. Cheques are accepted and your course login will be made live once the cheque has cleared into our bank account.
Course Login:
Once we have processed your payment and the 14-day cooling-off period has passed or has been waived, please allow up to 2 working days from the invoice being paid to being emailed your course login.
