Course features

Our fully online SQE2 Express Course offers access to the same comprehensive learning materials and revision resources as our full SQE2 Full Prep Course for the individual practice areas selected. Learners have 9 months of course access to take themselves through the course, enhance their existing legal knowledge, and top up on the areas they are less familiar with.

The on-demand course materials and Video Library of previous workshops means that, no matter when you start, you will have access to the content and can move through the course at the pace that suits you.

E-learning materials/course notes

Course notes are provided in an engaging and interactive way through our e-learning application. The course notes on the SQE2 Express course address each of the legal skills assessed the selected practice area.

Recorded lectures

Recorded lectures are accompanied by the lecture slides on which the narration is based. The lectures build on the content with the e-learning material and can be accessed on demand.

Revision resources

A range of revision resources including practice questions, concise written materials, flashcards and other revision materials (online and downloadable) targeted to fully develop the legal skills you need both for your exam and practising law.

MCQs

A range of multiple choice questions (MCQs) to test your knowledge of the legal skills assessed within your selected practice area.

Mock assessments

Mock exam papers the legal skill assessed on the SQE2 in the selected practice area to test your knowledge and practice the skills you need for this type of assessment.

Oral skills: Mock assessments for the oral skills elements are taken as a live assessment with a tutor specialist in the relevant practice area. This is a pre-arranged online appointment at a mutually convenience time, taking into account working patterns and other commitments wherever possible. After the live mock assessment has been completed immediate verbal feedback is provided followed by written feedback which includes specific reference to the skills required in accordance with the assessment criteria.
Written skills: Mock assessments for the written skills elements will be available for you without pre-arrangement to view and attempt at any time through our interactive learner platform. Tutor specialist feedback is provided on the attempt with specific reference to the skills required in accordance with the assessment criteria.

Workshop library

You can access previous workshops for your selected practice area within our workshops library. You can also access and complete the tasks set in each workshop at a time and pace that is convenient to you.

Live tutor support

Live workshops

Unlimited attendance at workshops run by experts in each practice area. The SQE2 Practice Area workshops each cover at least one of the legal skills for the selected practice area as a focus session, rotating through the practice areas assessed as part of the SQE2. The workshops include an analysis of a scenario question, a case discussion, and/or a focus on a particular area of the SQE2 assessment specification. Tasks to assess the legal skills required are set for completion and submission for feedback from tutors after each session.

As the workshops rotate through the practice areas, your selected practice area will feature once every 5 weeks. You will be able to engage with your tutor in the intervening period to submit tasks and obtain feedback. You can also access previous workshops for your selected practice area within our workshop library with a new recording added after each session.

Practice area forums

A monitored online forum where you can raise queries and interact with other learners on the course is provided for your selected practice area.

1:1 tutor support

48hr email response time from specialist tutors (Mon-Fri) to help with any course related queries for your selected practice area.

Personal Academic Coach

Your 1:1 Personal Academic Coach will support you to stay on track not only providing academic support but also pastoral care, careers guidance, CV advice and guidance on how to balance studies and work life.

Other SQE2 course options

If, on completion of your SQE2 Express Course practice area you find you require further support, you can upgrade to the full SQE2 Full Prep Course with Law Training Centre by simply paying an additional fee. A discount will be applied based on the number of previous practice areas purchased. Get in touch with our helpful support team to discuss your options.

Scholarships

Law Training Centre accepts PayPal as a payment option. A link to PayPal will be provided on your invoice when you sign up for a course. PayPal is a secure card processor and allows you to use your debit or credit card to pay, you do not need to have a PayPal account to use this service.

What will I need before I get started?

To study your online course, you will need the following:

Computer / laptop / Google Chromebook / Apple MacBook
Keyboard and a mouse or another pointing device
Broadband connection with 10 Mbps average speed
An Ethernet cable for maintaining internet stability
Working microphone, either internal or external
Webcam with 320 x 240 VGA resolution, either internal or external

How do I enrol?

The Law Training Centre accepts applications throughout the year so that learners can start when it suits them most.

You can complete our SQE2 enrolment form here.

What happens after I send my enrolment form?

Once received, your enrolment will be processed by our Student Services Team. If there are any queries at this stage, we will contact you.

Invoicing:
We will issue your invoice according to your chosen option – either self–sponsored or firm-sponsored. If you are paying by instalments, a separate Direct Debit mandate email will be sent out for you to complete online, you will need to set up both the Direct Debit and complete the initial payment. Once the invoice has been paid (or the Direct Debit set up if applicable) please notify us by return email.
Payment options:
You can pay by bank transfer to our account or by card using the payment link on your invoice. Cheques are accepted and your course login will be made live once the cheque has cleared into our bank account. Instalments available for purchases of two or more practice areas.
Course Login:
Once we have processed your payment and the 14-day cooling-off period has passed or has been waived, please allow up to 2 working days from the invoice being paid to being emailed your course login.
