Conveyancing firms are placing greater focus on how work is supervised and delivered within their teams.
Many firms rely on experienced fee earners who are not yet authorised. This can limit how supervision is structured, how teams scale and how responsibility is distributed.
Building authorised capacity strengthens supervision, supports progression and gives firms more flexibility in how work is delivered.
Law Training Centre delivers CLC, SQE and CILEX pathways under one roof.
This means we do not promote a single route. We help you choose the right option based on your team, your structure and your timeframe.
We support progression into authorised roles that strengthen supervision across your team through:
All programmes are delivered flexibly, allowing your staff to continue working while they study.
Many firms want to build authorised capacity as quickly as possible.
A key part of this is understanding exemptions and route flexibility.
We have advised over 2,000 learners on exemptions across CLC, SQE and CILEX pathways. This allows us to identify where prior qualifications and experience can be recognised.
Exemptions can:
SQE route
A commercial property paralegal with two years’ experience progressed to solicitor status through the SQE route without leaving their department.
This avoided seat rotations, reduced cost and maintained continuity for clients.
CLC pathway
A conveyancing fee earner transitioning routes was able to enter the CLC pathway at Level 6 through recognised exemptions.
This reduced study time and enabled progression to a Licensed Conveyancer managing their own caseload.
We also advise on CILEX pathways, including how to secure conveyancing practice rights through CILEX Regulation, and where dual qualification through CLC or SQE may be appropriate.
Law Training Centre has supported over 4,500 learners across more than 800 law firms.
We work with firms of all sizes to build authorised capacity using the people they already have.
If you are reviewing how to develop your team and strengthen supervision, we can talk you through the options that best fit your firm.
We deliver all three routes and advise on the fastest pathways, including exemptions.
