Law Training Centre is proud to announce that we have been named winner of E2 Media’s prestigious Accolade of Achievement for 2024, reflecting our unwavering commitment to providing high-quality, specialist legal training services to aspiring lawyers in the UK and around the world.
It is an honour to be recognised for the effort and passion that we put in to delivering flexible and accessible legal training, highlighting the hard work of our tutors, support staff and the wider Law Training Centre team.
Nomination from Tony Clarke-Dearing
We were so pleased to hear of our nomination from Tony Clarke-Dearing, a learner on our CLC Level 4 Diploma in Probate Law and Practice, and to have the opportunity to speak to him about his experience and nomination.
“Without Law Training Centre, I don’t think I would have gotten this far because of my disability…When I first contacted Law Training Centre, the reaction that I got from them was just second to none. I felt as though I was brought into the centre with open arms.”
Tony shared with us the importance of the support he received from the team and how this led him to nominate us for the award, highlighting that his experiences with Student Services and his tutors were especially prominent in his decision.
“Steve, my tutor, spoke to me, reassured, helped me along and guided me. And I’ve never had that. I just felt so immensely that Law Training Centre needed to have that award.”
Tony also spoke to us in detail about the effects of his disability on his studies, and how Law Training Centre’s support throughout his course has hugely helped him in pursuing his studies: “I’ve got to rely on machines to read that stuff for me. I’ve got all equipment here, which has been put in by the Royal Blind Association, which means that if I get a book, I’ve got to put that book into the machine and that will read it to me.
“I always say to people, and especially people who are disabled, never be afraid. Just pick up the phone and ring the Student Services Team at Law Training Centre. They’re there to help – it doesn’t matter what disability you have.
“The tutors and Law Training Centre have never pushed me to rush through anything and I’ve just done everything at my own pace. And that’s the beauty about it.”
We are so pleased to be able to support Tony through his studies, and believe his success story is a testament to the importance of online learning and flexible, accessible opportunities for aspiring lawyers. Thank you, Tony, for your lovely nomination!
