Time is running out – use your previous CLC qualifications now!

You only have until the 28th of August to use your previous CLC studies to claim exemptions for the new SQA Diplomas!

Do you already have previous CLC qualifications? 

If you hold previous CLC qualifications and can show us the Record of Achievement (ROA) that states this, you can still claim exemptions from certain units of the current SQA CLC Level 4 and 6 Diplomas in Conveyancing Law and Practice and SQA CLC Level 4 and 6 Diplomas in Probate Practice.

You have until the 28th of August to enrol and claim your exemptions for previous CLC qualifications. After this date, these qualifications will no longer be accepted for exemptions.

If you hold the following old CLC qualification units:

  • Law and Legal Methods
  • Introduction to Conveyancing
  • Law of Contract
  • Land Law
  • Landlord and Tenant
  • Final Conveyancing Law and Practice
  • Final Accounts
  • Law of Wills and Succession
  • Final Probate Practice
  • CLC Final Accounts

  • you are eligible for exemptions until the 28th of August 2019.

    How to claim exemptions with LTC

    Send in your previous CLC qualifications or ROA to with the subject ‘Exemption request’. Allow two working days for the Academic Board to reply with confirmation of exemptions that you may be eligible for. Make sure you allow enough time for your exemptions to be agreed by the Academic Board.

    Once LTC have confirmed exemptions, download the enrolment form here and return this to with the units you are going to study clearly marked. Enrolment completes upon receipt of your full/first payment. Ensure that you allow enough time for your payment to be received.

    The deadline is 28th  August 2019 to complete enrolment and claim exemptions for previous CLC  qualifications. After this date, you will not be able to claim these units as exemptions. Don’t let your hard work go to waste and enrol now to by  clicking  here.
